Welcome back everyone!
PSA: There is a massive scheduling anomaly for the first week of
classes. It was sent out in the Daily Blast last semester, but if
you were like me, you probably didn't see it because you were
studying for finals and doing final projects:
I hope that you have had a relaxing break and that you are ready for
another semester of ACM! We have a packed semester ahead of us, and I'm
really looking forward to it.
The primary focus of the week or so will be to polish up our projects in
preparation for the annual C-MAPP party. This is an annual event where
industry partners (some of whom we have had for tech talks), students,
and professors get to network with one another.
January 7 - Woody's! (21:00)
If you want to go to Woody's for College Night, email me or send me
a message over Matrix so that we have an accurate count.
January 12 - Project Hack Day (12:00-18:00)
We are going to be meeting on Saturday afternoon to make a big push
on our projects for C-MAPP.
January 14 - Open Source Project Meeting (18:00-20:00)
Location: TBD (the registrar's office still hasn't opened room
On January 14 we will be having a normal project meeting. This is
the last meeting before C-MAPP, so most of the time will be spent
working on preparations for that.
January 17 - C-MAPP Party (17:00-19:00)
Location: Student Center Grand Ballroom
The CS Department event of the year! Anyone in ACM is invited to
this great networking event. You can network with C-MAPP sponsors,
professors, and other students.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again! Please let me know if you
have any questions.
